Battle of the Mountain
The Battle of the Mountain was a battle of the Great Crusade fought primarily by the Thousand Sons. The battle began when the ancient derelict Revenant Titan guardians of Aghoru, which had previously welcomed Imperial rule, were possessed by Daemons from a Warp gate in an area known as The Mountain and opened fire on the Thousand Sons. The Thousand Sons, as well as their Space Wolves allies, took heavy losses before the Titans were neutralized. During the battle, Magnus the Red was confronted by the Daemon Choronzon and unsuccessfully tempted with the powers of Chaos.[1]
