The Battle of the Startide Nexus began, when a sizable Death Guard armada invaded the T'au Empire's newly colonised area of space, known as the Nem'yar Atoll. The Chaos invaders are intent on reaching the Startide Nexus, which is located within the Atoll and serves as a stable dimensional pathway between it and the T'au Empire. The T'au's forces within the Nem'yar Atoll are led by Commander Shadowsun, and she is now leading them in a desperate battle to stop the Death Guard from reaching the Startide Nexus, as well as the heartlands of the T'au Empire.[1]
