Blades of Reason are specialised instruments of torture used by the Asmodai, Master Interrogator-Chaplain of the Dark Angels Space Marine Chapter.1
Capable of being forged into many forms[Needs Citation], Blades of Reason are normally small edged weapons[Needs Citation] that are etched with an incredibly complex set of neural wires, which are designed to cause intense pain to nerve systems they come into contact with1. Though capable of causing extraordinary amounts of pain, the Blades of Reason are not inimically fatal and so can be used on a victim virtually indefinitely1. A victim of the Blades of Reason is normally expected to become broken both physically and mentally, and to confess to all their sins. The Interrogator-Chaplain makes particular use of them upon captured Fallen1.
