Brindelweld Seventeenth
The Brindelweld Seventeenth is an Astra Militarum Regiment.[1]
History
It was among the Imperial forces to come to Gehöft defense, after the Agri World was invaded by the Blighted Claw Warband. This was the latest world to suffer at their hands, as the Plague Lord Paramyx sought to spread Nurgle's diseases across the Imperium. When the Brindelweld arrived on Gehöft, the Blighted Claw had succeeded in infecting the world and it was already rotting and decaying. This left parts of its atmosphere so toxic, that the Brindelweld had to avoid them, in order to survive. Even the Space Marine forces of the White Scars' Master of the Hunt Kor'sarro Khan and the Dark Angels' Ravenwing Master Sammael needed to wear their helmets in order to breathe safely. Worse still, Gehöft's population that died from the plagues, rose as Plague Zombies and aided the Blighted Claw in attacking the Imperials. Eventually the world was declared lost and the surviving Brindelweld and other Imperials began to evacuate, before Gehöft was destroyed by an Exterminatus.[1]
