The Chaplet Ecclesiasticus is a devotional item worn by the Sisters of Battle, in the form of an icon of the Ecclesiarchy held by a string of prayer beads.

Overview

Every member of the Adepta Sororitas carries a Chaplet Ecclesiasticus either around her neck or her waist. For most orders, each adamantium bead represents an act of penitence undertaken by the wearer, or in the case of veteran sisters ten, a hundred, or a thousand such acts per bead depending on experience, as the sisters strive to honor's the Emperor's sacrifice by emulating His example. For others each bead is individualized and meant to represent a specific virtue, or cluster of virtues[1][2][3][5]
