From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
Citadel Miniatures LTD. was founded in 1979 by Games Workshop and Bryan Ansell, founder and designer of Asgard Miniatures.[2]
The company designs and produce the models required to play any of the Games Workshop games. They are affectionately referred to as "minis" by anyone who plays a table top game. Some people modify these to make original models and armies.
