Homeworld

The Dark Crusaders are unlike most Chapters in the fact that they not only hold dominion over their Fortress world, but over twelve worlds. Their locations are unknown to the Imperium, thereby making the Dark Crusaders the only ones who know of their existence and their only source of protection from Ork warbands. Since each of the twelve worlds show their loyalty first to the Dark Crusaders, instead of the Imperium that forgot them long ago, each world pays tithes to Arcadia Prime, keeping the Dark Crusaders well supplied with everything from field rations to Retribution Class Battleships.

Arcadia Prime is just one of the twelve worlds in the domain of the Dark Crusaders. The others are[1c]:

Organisation

The Dark Crusaders are organised like most other Chapters, only on a larger scale due to their abnormal size. The Crusaders are formed into 100-Marine Battle Companies. The majority of the Chapter stay on Arcadia or with the Armada when there is not an Operation planned, but there is a garrison of 8 Companies per world in the Dark Crusaders' realm of the galaxy.

The Armada

Thou many Space Marine Chapters have a small fleet, say a few Battle Barges and Strike Cruisers, the Dark Crusaders do not. The Dark Crusaders have their own Armada of ships. Every known model of ship is within the massive fleet. Everything from an Apocalypse Battleship to an Ironclad
