Darkand is an Imperial world[1], that was invaded by the Tyranid Splinter Fleet Cicatrix, though the White Scars Chapter's 4th Brotherhood came to defend it. Despite being heavily outnumbered, the White Scars were victorious after its commander, Joghaten Khan, broke the Splinter Fleet's will by personally killing the Hive Tyrant that led it.[2]
