Background

The creation Disciples of Caliban is unusual in that Chapter Master Azrael of the Dark Angels specifically requested it to the High lords of Terra. At the time, such a request was unheard of and created controversy.1 The gene-seed used was examined using standards even more strict than was the standard of Adeptus Terra. This gene-seed is constantly being monitored for corruption.1

It is rumoured among the Unforgiven that this chapter was founded with the sole purpose of hunting down and capturing Cypher.1

The Disciples of Caliban are a very mobile force. Their chapter fleet has been seen in conflicts all over of the Imperium.

They are a noble and virtuous chapter, never turning from their duties.

They are noted for carrying relics into battle. Most important of these relics is the Lionus Censum, a scroll which has the names and deeds of the chapters most famous brethren.1
