Fafnir Rann[5]

Fafnir Rann was a Captain of the Imperial Fists during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.

He was a high-ranking member of his Legion, designated as Lord Seneschal and commander of the first assault cadre. In battle, he wielded twin axes and a large shield.[4] During the Horus Heresy, Rann served alongside Sigismund in the First Sphere defenses of the Sol System and took part in the Battle of Pluto[2]. When the Solar War reached its final phase, Rann commanded of one of the Three Sisters of Spite Frigates Persephone and fought Horus' forces around Pluto under the command of Sigismund.[3a]

After the Heresy, he founded and led the Executioners Space Marine Chapter.[1]
