Gaero Alphus was a world of the Imperium. In 565.M36, the planet experienced a severe drought. As the planet's industry dwindles, malnutrition rises and all animal life is sacrificed to feed the hunger of the planets many tribes. The heat drives the tribesmen to pray for divine aid, descending into primitive rain-dances and even human sacrifice. Nurgle eventually took pity on the world, giving it rain. However as the days passed, the rain clouds continued to grow into something more menacing, covering the world with putrid water that spreads disease. On the 8th day of rain, the Tallyman of Nurgle, Epidemius, pushes his way into reality to catalogue the disaster. He finds the planetary population devastated from waterborne pathogens, with the surviving tribes taking flight in the face of his hordes of Plaguebearers. The weakened human armies prove easy to overcome, and a week later the planet vanished from all Imperial records.[1]
