Background
The Hammers of Dorn venerate Rogal Dorn as the favoured son of the Emperor, as he stood shoulder to shoulder with the Emperor during the darkest days of the Imperium. Within the histories they see a rivalry between Rogal Dorn and Roboute Guilliman, and have emphasised this today as a non violent rivalry between themselves and the Ultramarines and their successors. The Hammers of Dorn also have a very real hatred for the Word Bearers traitor legion which apparently began as an attempt to prove their superiority to the Ultramarines in an engagement with this traitor legion.[1]
