Overview
Founded shortly after Xana was incorporated into the Imperium, the regressed Malin-Qatlu Scion bloodline was rehomed upon the world. Provided they were both fresh machines and scions, the newly-patented Malinax would acquit themselves to much honor during the Great Crusade. Despite such a record, the isolation of their homeworld and uneasy alliance through which Xana was incorporated ensured that they gained a sinister reputation. Often its Scions were deployed alongside the Legio Vulturum, only increasing the whispers of questionable allegiances. When Xana turned to Horus' cause, Malianx followed suit.[4]
During the initial years of the Heresy they played both sides, aiding Horus' forces while negotiating deals with the Imperium in secret. When these double dealings were revealed, they were they openly declared themselves traitors and suffered an attack on Xana by the Imperium which delayed the Forge World's supply efforts to traitor forces. Nonetheless, they continued to be well-supplied and had access to a variety of different Knight armors including larger numbers of rarer classes such as the Magaera and Porphyrion.[4] During the Heresy Knights of House Malinax took part in the Burning of Prospero[3], Crusade of Iron[4], and the Battle of Beta-Garmon[2].
They eventually fled with their Dark Mechanicum liege-lords into the Eye of Terror at the end of the Heresy, and now operate from the Daemon World of Xana II.[1]
