Kezellon was a Death Company Dreadnought in the Blood Angels Chapter[1], who was once known as Cassor the Damned.[2a]

History

Before he was interred within a Dreadnought, Kezellon was the Captain of the Blood Angels' 2nd Company[1] and was considered to be one of the finest warriors that the Chapter had ever produced[2a]. He was a champion with his sword and undefeated in battle, until Kezellon was cut in half while fighting the Aeldari. Though he was left for dead by the Xenos, his sheer will kept Kezellon alive until he was interred within a Dreadnought[1]. Kezellon then continued his service with the 2nd[1] for almost another three hundred years[2a], and became known as the fury of his Company. Many of the Imperium's foes met their ends at Kezellon's Dreadnought hands[1], until he fell to the Black Rage while fighting on Lowfang[2a]. This led Kezellon[1] to be inducted into the Blood Angels' Death Company, where he became known by various titles[2a], including Ancient Cassor[1], Cassor the Damned, Cassor the Mad and Cassor the Chained.[2a]

As Cassor, he could barely tell friend from foe and was too dangerous to unleash unless the Blood Angels were given cause to. One such event occurred during the Cryptus Campaign in 998.M41, where he was part of a Death Company detachment sent to Asphodex to aid the Chapter's 1st Company, which was being overwhelmed by Hive Fleet Leviathan's Tyranids. After saving Captain Karlaen's life, when he was about to be killed by the Spawn of Cryptus, Cassor met his final while fighting a Carnifex[2b]. When the Campaign was over, the Blood Angels' Commander, Luis Dante, read the names of those who died and came across Cassor's. Dante remembered when the Death Company Dreadnought had been known as Kezellon, though, and decided that with his second honorable death, the former Captain's original name would be returned to him. However Dante hoped that Kezellon's deeds would be remembered, under both of his names.[1]
