Princeps Kurtiz Mannheim was the commander of the Legio Metallica Titan Legion assigned to Armageddon during the Second War for Armageddon.[1]

History

Mannheim was obliged by his oath of loyalty to the Emperor to follow an insane order of the corrupted heretic Herman von Strab, Overlord of Armageddon. von Strab commanded Legio Metallica to stem the onrushing Ork tide, even though the Imperial forces would be outnumbered by more than three to one. Knowing it would be his final mission, Mannheim dressed in his best uniform, said goodbye to his wife and children and climbed aboard his Emperor Class Titan Steel Hammer with pride.[Needs Citation]

With his Titan critically damaged after destroying three Ork Gargants in combat, Mannheim steered Steel Hammer to the center of the Ork horde and overloaded its plasma reactors, causing a major meltdown and massive explosion. With this action he took a million Orks with him to the grave. The rest of the Titan Legion was almost completely destroyed by the Orks and took no further part in the campaign.[Needs Citation]

At the conclusion of the war, Kurtiz Mannheim was posthumously awarded the Emperor's Star for his mighty deeds. His Titan Legion has been rebuilt and has fought with determination in the Third War for Armageddon, Mannheim's memory a shining example of the most dutiful and dedicated of warriors.[Needs Citation]

Naming Conflict

This character has been referred to as both Kurtiz Mannehim[2] and Kurt Mannheim.[1][2]
