Brother-Slaughterer Mandrathrax was a World Eaters Chaos Lord, whose Berzerker Warband was among the Chaos forces that invaded an Imperial world. Among the others to take part in the invasion was the Champion of Khorne, Khârn the Betrayer.[1]

History

During the invasion, became trapped within an Imperial cathedral by a large number of Imperial Guardsmen, who began bombarding the building. An attempt by the Warband to break out ended in failure, after the Guardsmen killed 14 of the Berzerkers due to their overwhelming firepower. The survivors members of Mandrathrax's Warband were then forced to retreat back inside the Cathedral. Now, though, only the Chaos Lord and four other Berzerkers were still alive and they braced themselves as the cathedral began to bombarded again. With no options left, Mandrathrax ordered his Warband to rush the Guardsmen after the next barrage ended. However after several minutes passed without any artillery firing, the Warband rushed outside, as they believed the Guardsmen had run out of ammunition. What greeted them was a sign of carnage instead, though, as all of the Guardsmen lay butchered. As they admired the scene, however, Khârn the Betrayer appeared and charged at them. The Champion of Khorne was lost in blood lust and was eager to claim skulls for his patron Chaos God and it did not matter if they served Khorne as well. Mandrathrax realized this too late, as Khârn soon killed the Berzerker Urkan and then made quick work of the others, despite their efforts to slay him. In seconds, only Mandrathrax remained of his Warband, but as Khârn stalked towards him, the Chaos Lord knew he was no match for the Champion. So instead, he bore his neck to the Betrayer and offered his life to Khorne, before the Champion decapitated the Chaos Lord with the Chainaxe Gorechild. With the Warband now dead, Khârn left and began searching for more skulls to collect for Khorne.[1]
