The Mole Mortar is a heavy weapon that was available up to 3rd Edition where it disappeared.
It is simply an inverted mortar with a shell or 'tunnel-torpedo' which tunnels through the ground underneath the battlefield. It was originally developed to attack tunelling vehicles but was then used as a short range assault weapon.
It is notoriously inaccurate and has a temperamental fuse, either exploding below ground, just after breaking the surface or in the air.
