The Monster Slayer of Caliban is a famed relic of the Dark Angels. This ancient weapon was traditionally bestowed upon the most honorable knight of The Order before they were sent on a long quest into the wild of Caliban. Its well-honed blade is empowered by a force generator of immense power. However over the ages, the blade is known to have grown temperamental, and the know-how to repair such ancient technology is beyond what the Techmarines of the Dark Angels can understand. However it is believed that as long as its owner stays pure of mind, the Monster Slayer of Caliban will strike down even the greatest of foes.[1]

Perhaps its most famous use was when Master Mortifer wielded the blade to dispatch three Tyranid Carnifexes. However it is said that Mortifer later lost his faith, and the sword fizzled out at a critical moment, proving unable to even penetrate the crude armor of an Ork Warboss.[1]
