Mortar

The mortar is a weapon whose origins go back well before any other weapons, even the shotgun. It fires a large, explosive round that will destroy most targets that it hits, and can be aimed even out of line of sight, although it is not very accurate.

The mortar is fired by taking the explosive round, and dropping it into a large tube. The round hits a firing pin at the bottom, which ignites the round, sending very long distances, in an arc shape.

The mortar is currently only in use by the Imperial Guard , and requires a two man team to carry it.
