In 008.M31 during the Horus Heresy, the Forge World of Ohmn-Mat fell into civil war when its Tech-Priest rulers split between those loyal to the Emperor and those loyal to Horus. Eventually, Sons of Horus and Iron Hands forces took respective sides in the conflict, battling one another in a major escalation. In circumstances that remain unknown, Ohmn-Mat's atmosphere was ignited, shrouding the world in fire. The planet was destroyed and its fires still rage, 10,000 years later.[1]
