The Orders Hospitaller[N.B.] are non-militant orders of the Adepta Sororitas.

Overview

The Orders Hospitaller dates back to the time of the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy, but during this time it included men.[9] The Orders Hospitaller provide surgeons, physicians and nurses to areas which require them, including both military operations and civilian areas.[1] The members of this order have been called on by the Inquisition for support in battle with both healing and, more rarely, torture.[2]

The Orders Hospitaller maintain a strict code of non-violence, and will only heal on the battlefield. This separates them from the similar order of Rejuvenat Adepts.[6] (See Template:CanonConflict)

Organization

The Orders Hospitaller is overseen by the Chirurgeon-General[9] and is divided into two main bodies:

Canon Conflict

All others depictions of Hospitallers paint them as being perfectly willing to crush the enemies of mankind, both heretics, mutants, and aliens; in the same manner, they are also depicted as operating convents and dispensaries outside of warzones.[8]

Notes

  • N.B.: The spelling is occasionally given as "Orders Hospitallar"[5]
