Ouranberg was the capital city of the Industrial World of Phantine.[1c]

Overview

Ouranberg straddled a set of mountain peaks, as the ground layer of Phantine is covered with kilometres-deep cloud-oceans of dense toxic pollution.[1b][1d] The most notable of the mountains was Ouranpeak; most of the city was contained in three domes, labelled as the Alpha, Beta and Gamma Domes, constructed on Ouranpeak. The city's primary vapour mill complex was surrounded by these domes and this was adjoined by a number of smaller domes used as habs for the mill workers. A secondary vapour mill was located on another mountain to the northeast. The surrounding peaks contained a number of burn-off stacks linked to Ouranberg itself by a set of pipes, used to vent waste gasses produced in the mills.[1a][1d]

South of the main mill was an ornamental platform linked to the city's entrance gate via a processional called the Avenue of the Polyandrons. The city featured two airdocks - one south of the platform and the avenue, intended for use by drogue airships, and one to the east of the Beta and Gamma Domes.[1a][1d]

History

As the host of one of the planet's primary vapour mill complexes, during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade Ouranberg and the rest of Phantine were occupied by the forces of Chaos - specifically a division of the Blood Pact led by Sagittar Slaith. In the Imperial campaign to liberate Phantine, Lord General Van Voytz made retaking Ouranberg his primary objective.[1b][1c]
