Paradyce VI was formerly an Imperial world, that lies within the Pariah Nexus and was invaded by the Necrons. It was defended by the Sisters of Battle and the 23rd Paradycian Peltasts, one of the world's own Regiments, but they all became stricken by the Nexus' phenomenon known as the Stilling. While the Sisters' faith held the Stilling at bay, the Guardsmen and citizens of Paradyce VI became lethargic, which reduced the fighting capabilities of the 23rd. This greatly aided the Necron and the Xenos were able to kill the Sisters and most of the Regiment.
