The Paramar System is a system of Imperial space, located in the northern reaches of the Segmentum Solar.[1]

Overview

It is a trinary star system with great, albeit difficult to access, mineral wealth. In addition, it lies in an unusually stable Warp-synchronous location.[1]

The most significant parts of the system are the planet Paramar V, a Mechanicum world that was given over to promethium refining and the storage of weapons and munitions, and the Pharaeon of Paramar, a moon of Paramar XXI that served as a depot for the Imperialis Armada.[1]

History

The Paramar System was first identified during the Great Crusade, having been recorded in the Carta Imperialis in 803.M30 by the Rogue Trader Hel DeAniasie. Not long afterwards, the system became a waypoint for the Crusade; it quickly expanded from an automated Mechanicum outpost to a refuelling and resupply depot for Imperial Expeditionary Fleets, allowing the Imperium to expand from the Segmentum Solar into the Segmentum Obscurus.[1]

Following the Crisis of the Hungering Gyre in 891.M30, the system was made part of the domain of the Forge World Gryphonne IV.[1]

Celestial Objects

The Paramar System possesses three suns with 37 recorded major bodies orbiting them.[1]
