Warhammer 40,000 (informally known as Warhammer 40K or just 40K) is a Gothic science fantasy tabletop miniature wargame, produced by British gaming company Games Workshop. Play centers around 28mm scale (approximately 1:65) miniature figurines produced by Citadel Miniatures, which represent soldiers, creatures, and vehicles of war.

  • Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War
    • Winter Assault - The first expansion for the RTS PC game Dawn of War. This expansion introduced the Imperial Guard as a full faction and made adjustments to the existing factions, such as balance changes and the addition of new units (one for each faction).
    • Dark Crusade - offers new features such as larger maps, a non-linear single-player campaign, and two new fully playable races – the Necrons and the Tau.
    • Soulstorm - Whereas the campaign of Dark Crusade was conquering a single planet, Soulstorm's campaign is the conquest of several planets and moons, basically a single star system, Kaurava. Soulstorm also introduced the Sisters of Battle and Dark Eldar as playable factions.

The game is a third person brawler/shooter, where the character uses his bolter to engage enemies at a distance until he can get close enough for close quarters fighting, which is where most engagements will be decided.
