Power Armour

Power Armour is worn by the Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines. It is an advanced full-body suit made from thick ceramite plates with fibre bundles linking with the body of the marine inside, augmenting his strength with that of the suit.

A Space Marine goes through genetic engeneering to allow them to effectivly use the armour. Phase 19 is implanting the Marine-to-be with the Black Carapace. This allows him to use all of the advanced systems in the armour without having to think about it. It also contains medical information that can be used if the marine is hurt.

The suit itself contains many features including communicators, external vocalizers, remote scanners and various other useful gagets. The backpack contains the main power plant, environmental system and additional stabilisers.

The current verson is Mk7 Adeptus Astartes Power Armour.

The Adepta Sororitas also make use of Power armour although whether they are genetically enhanced with the Black Carapace is unknown.
