The Rite of Setesh is the name of a device as well as a procedure conducted by the Adeptus Mechanicus. Used by the rich and the powerful, it involves the mummification of the body and placing it within an exo-skeleton that covers that body by use of a mechanical augmetic rig. The dying body henceforth is kept alive by this machinery and prevents them from dying of either sickness or old age well past the normal human lifespan. These mechanical coffins skirt the edge of techno-heresy to the Cult Mechanicus who frown on its usage due to both its form and its function.

Within the Calixis Sector, the Magos Biologis of the Hippocrasian Agglomeration are willing to fashion these implants but for a hefty price.1
