Sangallo was a former Chapter Master of the Blood Angels. He led a large force of the Chapter to battle in the Secoris Tragedy, where disaster struck and Sangallo and a majority of the Blood Angels were killed in a catastrophic Space hulk cleansing. Among the fifty Battle Brothers who manged to escape the battle, were Captains Dante and Kadeus; Kadeus went on to take Sangallo's place as Chapter Master and led his Chapter from the brink of extinction.[1]
