Seer's Rest was a world of the Imperium, said to be rich in Psykers.[1b]

History

At some point, a plague of nightmares engulfed Seer’s Rest. All of the planet’s oracles, wizards, and soothsayers reported having the same recurring dream – that of a rain of serpents that covers the land. Such was the intensity of these dreams that the subconscious gestalt of the planet’s psykers manifested them in reality, and the planet’s populace was halved in a day. Millions died to venomous snake bites before the psykers fell into a fugue state and the rain stopped.[1b]

Later, the Adeptus Arbites investigation found that the atmosphere processors of the world’s terraforming engines had been spiked with psychotropic gas. When the Alpha Legion descended to destroy what remained of the planet’s Imperial Guard garrison, the storm of psychic energy intensified to such a degree that Seer’s Rest was reclassified as a Daemon world. The Alpha Legion abducted thousands of comatose psykers.[1b]
