The Serrated Sun was a Chapter of the Word Bearers Space Marine Legion during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy. It specialized in Tactical Drop Pod assaults.^[1a]

Following the sack of Monarchia, the Primarch Lorgar Aurelian would travel with the Serrated Sun on the Pilgrimage, where members of the 7th Company would become the first of the Gal Vorbak.^[2] Most of the chapter would be wiped out during the Drop Site Massacre, and Chapter Master Argel Tal would form the Vakrah Jal in its place.^[3]
