Silva Tenebris is a long lost world that has only recently been rediscovered by the Imperium in the Era Indomitus. Once home to early Imperial settlers that have long since perished after the attempted excavation of Necron tombs, as well as the possibility of left behind archaeotech.[2] This would prompt subsequent exploratory missions of the Adeptus Mechanicus in M41 Era Indomitus. The Magos Dominus Faustinius launched the second expedition to salvage any ancient technology located on the world. The world is part of Amissus Solaris in the Ultima Segmentum.[1]

History

When the now Tomb World of Silva Tenebris was once a Necron world ruled by Overlord Szaregon or the Szaregon Dynasty. Alongside the Overlord, the ruling court of the planet included the Royal Vizier Mhelob, Lord Astronomer Ekropis, Grand Architect Neftusk, and Void Admiral Agrolekh. There is also a small bastion of Flayed Ones lead by the Corrupted King Ubjao.[2]

Imperial settlers arrived and began colonizing the planet in the early days of the Imperium. This civilization was eventually be wiped out once they began excavating the buried Necron tombs and inadvertently began the awakening sequence of the Tomb World.[2]

The Tech-Priest Rhesak would arrive in M41 and begin studying the Necron technology, but his exploratory mission eventually failed and ended with his death. Before dying, he sent an astropathic message to Mars about the discovery of the planet. This subsequently prompted the exploration and salvage mission of Magos Dominus Faustinius. Rhesak's data about the Necrons of this world was discovered throughout Faustinius's various missions sent down to the world. Although why much of his information on specific Necron war-forms were locked using synthetic proximity encryptions, only unlocking when near said war-forms, is unknown.[2]
