Skethon is a Nurgle worshiping Fallen Angel, who has escaped the Dark Angels' attempts to capture him.[1]

History

He was thought dead after their last encounter, but Skethon survived and later allied himself[1] with the Plague Lord Paramyx[2]. The Fallen Angel's forces would then aid[1] the Blighted Claw Warband in invading Imperial worlds and infecting them with Nurgle's diseases. One such world was Gehöft and the Imperium would come to its defense and to put an end to Paramyx's attacks. Among the Imperial forces were the White Scars led by the Master of the Hunt Kor'sarro Khan, who had been tasked by his Chapter with killing the Blighted Claw's Plague Lord. The Dark Angels' Ravenwing also came to Gehöft's defense and its Master, Sammael, agreed to aid the Khan in his hunt. While their Companies fought to defend the world, they each led a squadron to find the Plague Lord as the battle raged around them. They succeeded in finding Paramyx, but before they reached him[2], the Ravenwing spotted Skethon's battle flag on a nearby war engine.[1]

Known as The Threefold Serpent, Skethon's sigil depicted a serpent with three heads, tied in a knot on a dark green field. Upon seeing this, Sammael knew that the Fallen Angel still lived and ordered his squadron to pursue the war engine. Without the Ravenwing's aid, however, Kor'sarro Khan's squadron was overrun and only the Master of the Hunt was able to escape[1]. This allowed Paramyx to leave Gehöft, to find another world to infect[2] and Sammael's squadron failed to capture a fleeing Skethon as well. The Ravenwing's Master, however, had suspected from the start his efforts would not succeed, even as Sammael gave the order to abandon the Khan's squadron. He did manage to obtain a book, though, that was enshrined in a chapel within the war engine that bore Skethon's battle flag. Sammael thought it was the Fallen Angel's personal journal, which seemed to detail Skethor’s journeys since abandoning the Dark Angels. Sammael knew his duty was to return the journal to his Chapter's Inner Circle[1] and, as Gehöft was now doomed to suffer Exterminatus[2], the Ravenwing evacuated from the world.[1]
