Talk:Heavy stubber

A query - how can it be argued that the Heavy Stubber is analogous to the heavy .50 calibre machinegun, when quite clearly 'Heavy Stubber' refers to virtually any slug-firing heavy weapon. Indeed, most miniatures made show the heavy stubber to be a clearly man-portable weapon, and are based off the MG42, or, in the case of Forge World's Death Korps Grenadiers, the Bren Light Machine Gun. I would argue that making a Heavy Stubber analogous to such a heavy and cumbersome weapon is misleading in terms of the fluff and employment of the weapon - it is clearly utilised for infantry support and mobile fire, rather than the Heavy Bolter, which functions as the proper second-line machine gun.

I agree that your argument is valid and that that paragraph should be removed. But if you replace it with something else, it must be sourced with an official GW publication. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 22:16, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
