Is the only source of this really four editions ago? I don't want to mix the Lexis, but the Age of Sigmar Battletome for Slaanesh describes the Palace as in the middle of Slaanesh's domain with six rings around it. The description in this page describe it the same, but also states that the name of Slaanesh's domain is the Palace of Slaanesh. Isn't there a bit of confusion here? --Ashendant (talk) 17:51, 7 June 2019 (MDT)

Age of Sigmar isn't 40k and isn't canon to the setting. If you a find a new edition about Slaanesh's palace in a 40k piece of work then add it by all means Harriticus (talk) 18:14, 7 June 2019 (MDT)
I know that, it's just that this description seems to be a bit confusing. It describes the Palace of Slaanesh as Slaanesh's realm within the Warp, and then goes to describe the Six Circles that are specifically stated to be around the Palace of Slaanesh as being part of the Palace of Slaanesh? Similar articles for the other chaos gods seem to distinguish between the gods realm and their cores(Crystal Labyrinth-Impossible Fortress, Fortress of Khorne-Brass Citadel, Garden of Nurgle-Nurgle's Mansion), but here the Palace is both the realm and its core?--Ashendant (talk) 18:33, 7 June 2019 (MDT)
Considering these are realms within the Warp, that sounds pretty mundane compared to some of the other weird stuff that can happen there. KazilDarkeye (talk) 03:15, 8 June 2019 (MDT)
I think it's more likely that someone misread the original source.--Ashendant (talk) 09:29, 8 June 2019 (MDT)
After crossreading that paragraph in the 4th ed Codex I am more inclined to support Ashendant's view. The title of the section in the Codex is "The Palace of Slaanesh", that does not automatically mean (based on that single source) that the whole domain is called "The Palace of Slaanesh". I'd rather interprete that "The Palace of Slaanesh" is a synonym for "The Palace of Pleasure". But I will check the 6th ed Codex now, if it has a picture (which was used here) it stands to reason it has some text. And if that fails I am sure there is something in Realms of Chaos. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 11:04, 8 June 2019 (MDT)

Well, difficult. After re-reading the passages (I did not find the Palace in RoC, somebody has?) I have to say that the way it is written for the other Chaos Gods it would rather seem, that "The Palace of Slaanesh" could indeed be the name applied to the overall domain. With the "Palace of Pleasure" at its centre. An inner palace if you wish. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 12:11, 8 June 2019 (MDT)

Black Crusade: Tome ox Excess, p.8: "...describe this Palace of Pleasure as sitting at the center of the Pain Master's empire, surrounded by six other domains arranged in concentric rings." The realm as a whole doesn't seem to have a name. --DetlefK (talk) 12:28, 8 June 2019 (MDT)
Nevertheless at least in the Codex Chaos Daemons the title above the section always is Palace of Slaanesh. Whereas as for Khorne the title is the "Fortress of Khorne" (or sth like that) while the inner "sanctum" is the Brass Citadel. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 12:47, 8 June 2019 (MDT)
