Tarugar was a World Eaters Devourer who rose to a leadership position in the Legion during the Great Scouring.[1] Later, he became the warlord of a warband dubbed the "Devourers".[2]

History

Tarugar held no high rank during the Horus Heresy, but after the Siege of Terra he managed to rise to one of the members of the World Eaters' "Enclave" leadership council. He took his post from the captain of the 11th Company, a unit that had been completely killed on Terra. A hot-headed and highly aggressive individual, Tarugar was regarded as a supporter of de facto Legion commander Goghur; some World Eaters such as Argus Brond disdainfully believed that Tarugar had only risen in the ranks due to being Goghur's lackey.[1]

Before the Battle of Skalathrax, Tarugar was one of the World Eaters officers who called for an immediate attack on the Emperor's Children.[1] He survived the battle, but was eventually killed by Khârn inside the Eye of Terror.[2]
