Terminator Titanhammer Squad
Terminator Titanhammer Squads was a military formation used by members of the Adeptus Astartes.
Overview
These squads represented the indomitable spirit of the Space Marines in their battle against their enemies. They were pioneered by Captain Lysander of the Imperial Fists, they proved to be an extremely successful formation as evidenced in their successful suppression and eventual extermination of the Legio Unctator. This occurred with the betrayal of the Titan Legion sent to support them which threatened to destroy Lysander's Astartes. Thinking quickly, he formulated a plan that involved the assembling of a number of Terminator assault marine squads armed with Thunder Hammers.
Coming to head this new squad, he and the newly christened Titanhammer squads teleported to the bridge of the orbital vessel. Once there, they retrieved a single Vortex grenade and commended their souls to the Emperor whereupon they waited within the path of the renegade Titan. As it approached, Lysander threw the vortex grenade which disabled the Titan and created a hole within the massive machine. With this opening formed, the Titanhammer squad went inside the large machine where they used their thunder hammers to destroy the Titan from within. This resulted in the destruction of the entire renegade Legio Uctator's titans.
Since that day, Lysander always assembled Titanhammer squads to deal with Chaos Traitor Forces war machines. Furthermore, several more Chapters had followed Lysander's example.
