The Tyrant Immortal is the Imperial designation of a Space Hulk that came under the control of the orks some time prior to the Third War for Armageddon. The orks refer to the hulk as the Blasta O'Gork.[1]

History

Approximately 200 years before the Third War for Armageddon, the Tyrant Immortal was sighted by a strike force of the Ultramarines Chapter in the Corribra Sector. The Space Marines determined that the hulk was infested with Tyranid Genestealers, although their auspices were unable to penetrate to the vessel's lowest depths.[1]

At some point in the intervening centuries, the orks managed to wrest control of the hulk from the Genestealers. Over the years they made significant modifications to the vessel - by the time the Tyrant Immortal was detected by the Imperial Navy to be among the ork forces in the Armageddon System it was almost unrecognisable. It had a displacement of over 4,000,000 tons and was capable of matching slower Naval capital ships in straight line velocity (although it was noted to be far less manoeuvrable).[1]

In the course of the Third War for Armageddon, the Tyrant was provisionally identified by Captain Heron, who designated it as target Alpha-Seven-Seven. Following a bombardment of St. Jowen's Dock, Captain Fennell aboard the Light Cruiser Phobos was able to make a positive determination of the vessel's identity. Although the Phobos was forced to withdraw due to the number of escorts around the hulk, Fennell was able to obtain some information from initial scans, which were then relayed to Admiral Parol.[1]
