Vaylund Cal is one of the three Iron Thanes of the Sons of Medusa Chapter.[1]
History
As Master of the Atropos War Clan and High Artificer of the Chapter, Cal is a cold and emotionless figure clad in bionics and machinery. He is a fanatical believer in the Moirae-Sect of the Cult Mechanicus and renowned for employing Devastators with high levels of cybernetic augmentation. These squads are then deployed in implacable advances against the enemy.[1]
During the Badab War, Cal led the Sons of Medusa contingent against the traitors.[1]
After the Great Rift's creation, Cal underwent the Rubicon Primaris. When he now ventures forth with the Atropos War Clan, the Iron Thane is protected by the Aggressor Squad Kolgrimm, who serve as his stalwart bodyguards. Cal is also always accompanied by his faithful Servitor, M0RTI5, who carries the Iron Thane's Omnissian Axe into battle.[2]
