Verena Armenii
Verena Armenii was an Argent Shroud Canoness, who led a battlehost to save the relics of Saint Helena from the Ork invaded Hive World, Acheron IV.[1]
History
The Hive World had nearly been brought to its knees by Waaagh! Uggrot, but Verena did not attempt to aid Acheron IV's embattled Imperium defenders. The Canoness deemed the recovery of the relics to be more important and instead, led her battlehost's drop-ships directly to the Angel Spire outpost. It was there, that the Shrine of Saint Helena was located, but as they neared it, the battlehost saw the outpost had been overrun by the Orks. Verena still ordered the battlehost to search the Saint's Shrine anyways, as she hoped to recover some of Helena's relics. Upon landing, they were immediately attacked by the Orks who still held the area, but the battlehost was able to drive the Xenos back from the Shrine. This soon changed, though, when Warboss Grog Chewtops arrived and rallied the Orks, into launching a ferocious attack on the battlehost's position. In the desperate carnage that followed, the Xenos gained the upper hand and the battlehost began to be cut down in greater numbers. Verena herself was sent sprawling to the ground, after the Immolator beside her exploded from an Ork attack. Before the Canoness was able to pick her self up, however, Verena was surrounded and killed by the Xenos. However the Orks were defeated, after Seraphim Superior Camille discovered the Saint's sacred sword and killed Warboss Chewtops with it. This caused the Orks to flee and Verena's surviving battlehost, was able to escape with the recovered relics.[1]
