Volquan Sark was the Master of the Astronomican in mid-M32 during the War of the Beast.
Sark was known to be a powerful ex-Astropath and one of the two most powerful Psykers in the Imperium[2], but Drakan Vangorich still considered him more human than other High Lords.[1] Later, Sark supported Koorland, Vangorich, and the Inquisition in removing Lord Commander Udin Macht Udo from power after his ally Helad Gibran did the same.[3]
In the aftermath of the war, Sark was among the High Lords killed by Grand Master of Assassins Drakan Vangorich in The Beheading. He was killed by the same Culexus Assassin that had just murdered his ally, Abdulias Anwar.[4]
