The 2nd Company of the Salamanders, known as the Defenders of Nocturne, is a Company of the Chapter.^[1]

Overview

The 2nd best exemplifies the Salamanders compassionate attitude towards the most vulnerable citizens of the Imperium. Yet despite the detraction this sometimes brings, the 2nd's attitude has a practical purpose. They will save factory workers, only to have them boost munitions production for the next warzone. The 2nd is also the most ready to ally itself with other Imperial forces such as the Imperial Guard or Knights. Taking the leadership role in these deployments, the 2nd will transform bloated expeditions into coordinated alliances.^[1]

Conflicting sources

• N'kelm is shown to have replaced Pellas Mir'san as Captain in the late 8th edition^[1], but this is apparently contradicted by the Talledus War where Pellas is seen back in his role.^[5]
