Abenicus was known as the Mad Navigator and he was a member of House Benetek.[1]

History

In 878.M39, Abenicus theorized that there was a safe passage through the veil of Warp Storms that crowed the Calixis Sector's Drusus Marches. He came to this conclusion by studying ancient pre-Angevin Crusade reports, prophetic murmurings culled from dubious texts and the visions granted Abenicus by his own fickle Psychic gifts. Afterwards he began spreading his theory and despite Abenicus' evident insanity, his proofs and arguments were convincing. This then sparked something of a gold rush within the Calixis Sector. Soon Rogue Traders and other ne'er-do-wells attempted to discover the safe passage, drawn by the lure of untold riches and manifest power in the years to come. Many who try to find the passage die, with few returning alive, and others meeting only bloodshed and poverty. This becomes known as The Mistaken Age, but it lays the groundwork for the Stations of Passage dotting the Drusus Marches' extreme border and extending into the Warp Storm zone.[1]
