Bás-Finscéali
The Bás-Finscéali is a macabre Asuryani tale, that describes how the Phoenix Lord Maugan Ra and his followers, the Hanndroth Bhanlhari, freed the doomed Craftworld Altansar, from the Eye of Terror.[1]
Description
It began as the 13th Black Crusade began and large hordes of the Despoiler's forces emerged from the Eye of Terror. This left a gaping lesion in space where Realspace and the Warp could coexist and gave Maugan Ra the opportunity he had been waiting millennia for. With his Hanndroth Bhanlhari beside him, the Phoenix Lord entered the Eye and began searching for Craftworld Altansar. In the odyssey that followed, Ra and the Bhanlhari overcame countless foes and obstacles. The Bás-Finscéali notes that among the Phoenix Lord's feats, were the slaughtering of the Thousand-eyed Beast, toppling a creature known only as the Plague Gholem and his successful answering of the Gyre-Sphynx of Pheba-Korinteias' eleven riddles. However while Maugan Ra succeeded in freeing Altansar from the Eye of Terror, none of the Hanndroth Bhanlhari survived the hellish journey with him.[1]
