Baru was a Scout Corporal^[1b] of the Tanith First and Only.^[1a]

Biography

Baru was one of the original Tanith members of the regiment, serving in the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.^[1a] He was regarded by the regiment's commander, Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt, as an excellent scout, on par with Scout Sergeant Oan Mkoll. He was also popular with the rest of the men, with a reputation as a joker with a superb sense of wit.^[1e]

He was part of the team that accompanied Gaunt on a secret mission on Menazoid Epsilon.^[1c] During the mission, Baru was shot by Chaos Cultists and lost a knee.^[1d] He was later killed in the fighting by the shrapnel from a barb projectile.^[1e]
