The Black Gobbo is an Ork Gretchin.[2]

Giblet, the second Black Gobbo, leader of Da Grotmas Gitz[2]

Description

Named Giblet, he was an assistant and friend of Da Red Gobbo that dwells in the Ork settlement of Scrap City.[2] There, Giblet aided his boss in running Red Gobbo & A Sowse Ates out of an office.[3] Upon secretly taking the name of the Black Gobbo, though, Giblet formed the Da Grotmas Gitz who aided him in stealing presents, during Squigmas. However when they struck Scrap City, Giblet and Da Grotmas Gitz became an enemy of its Red Gobbo,[3] as that is what he traditionally does every holiday.[2] For reasons unknown,[3] Giblet informed the Red Gobbo of the theft and then left notes with clues for his Boss to solve,[2] which would lead directly back to him.[3]

Once the Red Gobbo followed the clues back to the office of Red Gobbo & A Sowse Ates, he found his assistant surrounded by Scrap City's stolen Squigmas presents. Giblet then revealed himself as the Black Gobbo to his shocked boss, who immediately tried to kill him for the theft.[2] As after all, those presents were for the Red Gobbo to steal.[3]

However the battle quickly ended, after the Red Gobbo shot an explosive the Black Gobbo had thrown at him. It landed amidst the presents and exploded, completely destroying one of the office's walls. The explosion also sent the gifts flying into Scrap City, where they were soon taken by the settlement's nearby Orks. As the two Gobbos watched, from the blown out wall, as the Orks ran away with their loot, they agreed to end their battle in a draw. They then wished each other a happy Squigmas, but the Red Gobbo then shoved his former assistant out of the office and into the streets below them. The Black Gobbo survived the fall, but is now the Red Gobbo's number one enemy and has left his former boss unsure of how to recover from his betrayal.[2]

Trivia

A christmas miniature featuring a "Black Gobbo" was released for christmas 2019, and was described as once the nemesis of the Squat Magos Grombrindal. However the Magos has since turned that Black Gobbo into a Servitor, who now has no choice but to aid his former foe.[1]

This Black Gobbo is a tongue-in-cheek reference to a character released for the Blood Bowl game in 2017[4].
