Brochuss was an officer of the Jantine Patricians Imperial Guard Regiment.[1a]

Biography

As a Trooper, Brochuss served as an adjutant to General Aldo Dercius.[1b]

By the time of the Sabbat Worlds Crusade, Brochuss had risen to the position of second officer of the regiment, serving under Colonel Draker Flense.[1a]

Some time before the campaign on Fortis Binary, the Jantines became embroiled in a conspiracy led by the treacherous Lord General Hechtor Dravere to seize control of the Crusade. This came to a head on Menazoid Epsilon, when Dravere ordered the Patricians to eliminate the loyalist Tanith First and Only.[1c][1d] Colonel Flense allowed Brochuss to take command of the bulk of the regiment while he and a team of Troopers went to assassinate the Tanith's commander, Ibram Gaunt.[1f]

After wiping out the Tanith rearguard[1e], Brochuss ordered the attack on the Tanith to commence. However, before the Jantine could engage, the Tanith's allies in the Vitrian Dragoons Third intervened. The Vitrians attacked the rear of the Jantines' positions and killed every one of them. Brochuss was one of the last to fall, racking up more than forty kills on the Vitrians with a borrowed heavy stubber when he was shot in the chest by Sergeant Zogat.[1g]
