Brython Semper was a Lord Admiral of the Imperial Armada during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.^[1]

Overview

Commanding an entire Battlefleet above the world of Molech, Semper was born and trained on the world of Cypra Mundi. He led his battlefleet from the ship Guardian of Aquinas when Molech was invaded by the treacherous Warmaster Horus. He led a tenacious resistance, but ultimately his flagship was boarded in a party led by Horus himself. When the traitors reached his deck Horus told Semper that he had fought honorably, and if he lowered his sword more bloodshed would be avoided. Semper response was to yell "For the Imperium!" and he charged at Horus, Power Sword in hand. Disappointed, Horus casually struck him down.^[1]

Trivia

Brython Semper's surname is a play on words detonating his valiant last stand against Horus and faithfulness to the Imperium, referencing the Latin phrase Semper Fidelis which means "Always Faithful".
