Calends was a Legionary of the Luna Wolves 10th Company, active during the Great Crusade.^[1]

The character's name may be a reference to the calends of the ancient Roman calendar. That particular calendar was originally based on the phases of the Moon and the calends signified the beginning of a new lunar phase (effectively the first day of a new month).
