The Chem-hunters of Messia are warriors and explorers from the blighted world of Messia.

History

The inhabitants of this world live in absolute toxic pollution, yet human life persists and has taken root in the twin cities at the planet's poles. Life in these cities is hard and heavily dependent on expeditions that continuously scour Messia's blasted wastelands to secure precious promethium. Such expeditions are made up of the hardiest of Messia's inhabitants and it is from these that the Chem-Hunters arise. Chem-Hunters are veterans of the unforgiving wilderness of Messia and offer their invaluable services as raiders and escorts to the drill-barons. They are consummate riders and skirmishers, frequently seen operating attack bike escorts or clinging to the rigs watching for roaming mutant hordes. These survivalist warriors are a valuable addition to any renegade or even Chaos warband.[1]

Once off of Messia, a Chem-Hunter is easily able to take his place among the many bands of raiders and pirates scattered throughout the Galaxy. Most eagerly join up to obtain some of the amenities rarely found on Messia, and the promise of exotic new stimulants, weapons, and other luxury items is often enough to retain their loyalty. Regardless of their motivations, all Chem-Hunters are highly sought after for their talents.[1]
