The Chosen of the Tetrarchy are the Space Marine Honour Guard, of the newly re-established Tetrarchs of Ultramar.^[1a]

Lord Commander Guilliman deliberately ordered the Chosen to be drawn from the Ultramarines and their Successor Chapters, in an attempt to foster cooperation between them^[1b]. Each Tetrarch has their own named Chosen Honour Guard, whose members wear a richly decorated left pauldron, that depicts their Tetrarch's sigil.^[1a]
